Ryan first experienced yoga in 2009, trying a Bikram class, while attending the University of New Mexico. He practiced intermittently for the remainder of college until a skiing accident changed the course of his physical practice. While rehabbing from a broken femur, Ryan fell in love with Olympic lifting. Looking for a complimentary exercise to pair with weightlifting Ryan tried a Flow 60 class at SWEAT in August 2014. He was immediately hooked and has practiced regularly since. Looking to deepen his understanding of yoga, Ryan attended the inaugural SWEAT Yoga School and completed the school’s 200 hour training. Ryan is grateful for the opportunity to teach at SWEAT and is excited to share his practice with the SWEAT community.
